Not sure if I have been living under a rock for the last few years but I never heard of Crossfit until 2 weeks ago. I was channel surfing and ran across ESPN2 and saw you competing and was like wth are they doing lol… I found a local box here in Kansas City and started with the Bootcamps and now I understand the addiction and totally excited about getting to every class. Keep up the good work and I enjoy your posts on FB.

I was lucky enough to get to watch you in action this weekend at Crossfit Rutherford. My husband and I have been crossfitting for almost a year. We weren’t participating in the camp but came by to see our local heros with you guys. We were blown away to say the least. It is awesome to see such amazingly strong women. Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Thanks for posting Angel. You guys have a fantastic community down there I’m so glad I had the opportunity to come visit. I agree, I was super impressed with all the super strong women at camp!

Awesome job! Just read your blog and am blown away by all that you have done. A friend of mine started taking classes and then I remember seeing your facebook posts about crossfit and then it finally clicked, had no idea what it was. Will definitely have to check out a crossfit gym in my area. Just had baby #2 and it has been difficult trying to balance motherhood and fitness. For me the latter has most definitely been suffering :) Keep up the great work and…keep inspiring!

Hi Loi! Yes, you should definitely look for a Crossfit gym. Crossfit workouts are high intensity (but can be scaled to whatever your fitness level is) so you’ll maximize your time spent- I know it’s really hard with little ones, we’ve all been there. Also, here is a list of workouts that can be done anywhere if you feel comfortable trying it out on your own http://www.windycitycrossfit.com/windycitycrossfit/travel-wods.html. Thanks for your support, let me know if I can help.

Thanks for the link. Have already contacted a local crossfit gym….should be fun! Keep up the great work, will definitely be following…

Hi! Just gotta say that I think you are amazing, and your blog is absolutely fantastic. Kinda a random question – what kind of gloves do you wear during your workouts? I saw that you were wearing some during the dumbbell snatches… I’m trying to find a way not to rip my hands open every week on the pull-up bar! Peace and love :)

I am so amazed at your progress, strength, and courage . I can relate as a mother of a five year old and a Crossfitter. I love showing my daughter its okay to be strong and break molds and the best part is when she says she wants to be like me! I hope one day i can tell my story and it be as great as yours.

Hi Elisabeth, I would like to invite you to an open house for a new Crossfit that recently opened. Top Fuel Crossfit is located in Merrillville Indiana and the open house is May 11, 2013 from 9:00-1:00. If your schedule would allow we would love to have you be a part of the grand opening and take part in some challenges they will be having. A few of us had the privilege of meeting you and learning from you when you made a visit to Crossfit Crown Point last year. Like I mentioned earlier if your schedule would allow and you would like to come out feel free to contact me for more info. Have a great day!

Your an inspiration! I adored and identify with ” I’m not trying to be so diesel”! I’m a retired firefighter, mothers to an 18 month old and very new to crossfit, but have been weight training for 18 years. The last year that I introduced crossfit into my life, I’m stronger and stronger! And I definitely get the “looks”.. Thanks for writting this!

Just read an older blog about the 2011 National Olympic Weightlifting championships in Alabama and was excited to see you mention Matt Bruce. I recently started training with him and completely agree that he is one of the nicest people ever. Not too bad as a coach either ;).
I’ll be pulling for you in the games this year! Keep it up!

I met you at last weekend’s North Central Regional Games. You were so gracious to my friends and I. Thank you for that. We realized that you were recovering from your first day of competition but it was so important for us to connect with you as an accomplished African American Crossfit woman. You are our inspiration. It was truly a gift to watch you live and in person. You ROCKED!!!! Your investment in the sport is appreciated on so many levels. You will be in our prayers.
Blessings to you, your family and supporters,
